From that time on, there was a need for a kind of scientific and professional organization so that specialists and those involved in this field could exchange ideas, expand their knowledge and exchange experiences in scientific and technical fields., the Iranian Nutrition Association (INA) is the first scientific association in the field of food and nutrition with a view to these shortcomings and with an appropriate approach to improving the level of community health. The association have been registered with participation of 13 nutrition experts in the Islamic Republic of Iran under No. 3034 and was founded based on the three principles of non-dependence on a particular person or organization, involving more members in its activities and development of the scientific quality of the Association.
The mainstays of the Iranian Nutrition Association are the General Assembly, the Central Council, the Board of Directors, the INA organizations in the states (Tash) and committee groups. INA’s activities are primarily through the committees that work within the association.
